Writer Interviews - James Martin Charlton

James Martin Charlton is a London based playwright that has penned scripts including Fat Souls, Ecstasy + GRACE, Fellow Creature. His work has been produced at The Arcola Theatre and The Warehouse Theatre and he has worked with companies including The Royal Shakespeare Company & Benet Catty Productions. He also wrote Coward, a speculative play about the life of Noël Coward that Just Some will be producing later this year. Alongside playwriting he also lectures in screenwriting at Middlesex University.

We caught up with James at his home in London and he was kind enough to give us a video interview!

In part one he talks about the developments of his writing, the differences and similarities between writing for stage and screen, and about who inspires his work

Part two asks James about his other sources of inspiration, what he likes to see at theatre and what he's working on at the moment.

We'd like to thank James for his time and if you would like to keep up with him make sure you follow him on Twitter and his personal blog. Also to find out more about our production of Coward and how you can get involved, check out our Sponsume appeal!
